Chapter 25: 1-3
The Conclusion of the Service

1. One should concentrate intently when reciting Ashrei and Tehillah l'Dovid (Psalm 145). Particularly, when reciting verse Pose'ach es yodecho... ("You open Your hand and satisfy the desires of all living things"), one should concentrate immensely.

2. Afterwards, Lam'natzeach [Psalm 20] is recited. This psalm is not recited on the following days:* Rosh Chodesh, Chanukah, both Purim and Shushan Purim, the fourteenth and fifteenth of the first Adar in a leap year, the day before Passover, the day before Yom Kippur, and Tisha B'Av. Similarly, this psalm is not recited in the home of a mourner.

* {In many communities, Lam'natzeach is not recited on any of the days when Tachanun is omitted.}

On the days Lam'natzeach is not recited, the prayer El erech apayim [said before the ark is opened on Mondays and Thursdays] is also omitted.

3. In Uvo l'tzion, the Kedushoh is recited and translated into Aramaic. Great care must be taken to recite it with proper concentration. The Aramaic should be recited in a hushed tone.
