Logic is a marvelous thing. It allows for insight, invention, wisdom, and breadth, as we began to indicate last time. But it doesn’t allow you to penetrate things beyond logic, and there are far more of them than we know of.

So while individuals with an acute ability to figure things out on their own by “connecting the dots” certainly manage to astound us, they’re still-and-all at a decided disadvantage. Since they have to have the right “dots” to “connect”, and they’re limited by the quality and clarity of those dots.

Such people certainly haven’t any way to fathom the future or what’s come to be known as “the secrets of the universe”. Prophets, on the other hand, have access to both logic and the unknown. And that’s what sets them apart from the rest of us, at bottom.
