When the columnist writes "Such a Rabbi Kenneth Lay should have had" it could be construed to imply that Lay is Jewish, which I do NOT believe to be true. I believe Torah.org should clarify this. Thanks. -0/3-/2002 |

I disagree with the previous comment.
I do not understand why a company with 200+ employees is supposed to treat its employees any differently than a company with 2,000 + employees or even 22,000 employees. I do not think anyone is saying Enron should pay for its employees to work while they produce nothing (WAIT they never produced anything).
What I believe is being said is some people are good and help their workers while others do things that benefit themselves at the expense of others. The entire point of blocking Enron employees from selling was to keep the price inflated long enough for the CEO’s to sell. - J. K. -0/3-/2002 |

Good article, but you single out only
the Republicans. Joe Leiberman and Clinton also accepted lots of money from Enron. Let's have a balanced view.
These people at Enron are nothing but
high priced thugs. That money they stole should be returned and put them in jail. - H. G. -0/3-/2002 |

I don't think it matters that Enron and Mauldon Mills are so different in size. You are on valid ground in pointing out the difference in attitude of the two companies. The respective attitudes have less to do with the size of the company than with the committment and sense of responsibility of the owners. -0/3-/2002 |

Great story, except your insinuation that the white house was involved in the Enron affair. Cheating and deceiving was Clinton's forte, not our present administration's. It was also Clinton that sold Israel out with their last trade of land for the peace that they never got. - E. F. -0/3-/2002 |

The intent of your article was good. Your presentation was not. It's a good idea to compare Enron to Mauldin, but your article gave the impression that both firms were the same size. They are not. Also, if you are going to BBQ the President & VP, kindly point out how many total politicians, of both parties recieved contributions. What Aaron Feuerstein did was above and beyond what we expect from corporate America--don't tarnish his generosity by leaving out important facts. - D. T. -0/3-/2002 |
