Thank you, Mr. DeLay, sir, for your strong support of Israel and its struggle for survival and defeat of brutal terrorist murder. Your unequivalent message regarding their idealization of this behavior is well-spoken and appreciated. May G-d bless you and thank you. - T. B. -0/4-/2002 |

You expext the british and other European media outlets to report the news in anything other than pro arab?
Europe long has been a hotbed for Anti Jewish activities, including burning of the talmud in France, one expulsion after the other and so on, so Anti Jewish terror in Europe doesn't surprise me. - J. K. -0/4-/2002 |

A marvellous understanding of democracy and truth in a very troubled world. I admire Tom DeLay for his courage to speak the truth for all to hear and hopefully to support. -0/4-/2002 |

Survival of Israel is more important than UN resolutions. Every nation can choose to be either with or against Israel, but remember: Jewish people will outlive all the hatred of the current world just as it had been always throughout the history. Because God has been, is and will be One. -0/4-/2002 |

This is a wonderful article. If the President of the US is really committed to helping Israel & democracy, I wish he would make that message clear to other world leaders. Here in England the reporting is very pro-Arab and consistently portrays Palestinians as victims - as Jews we know otherwise but the rest of the country doesn't understand. Please make your views clear to Europe and the free world! -0/4-/2002 |

Israel is the home of the Jewish people, children of Abraham, the chosen people of God. God made a promise to Abraham, that he would bless those who bless him, and curse those who curse him. God's promises are for yesterday, today, and forever. History has shown that the countries that were anti-semetic were indeed "cursed" when they persecuted or forsook God's chosen ones. Let us not follow in their footsteps. The Palestinian leadership consists of well-known and documented terrorists. Instead of trying to dance around them, and give them credence, we should be helping the Israelites to bring them down, and remove another piece of terroristic cancer. GOD gave the land of Israel to the Jews. Who has the right to take it from them? Let the Palesinians go live with the Arabs. If they are so concerned about their "right" to a homeland, let them give up a piece of their territory. The Arabs have only one goal, and that is to destroy the Jews. We need to assist our only true friends in the Middle East, Israel. OUR welfare depends on it. -0/4-/2002 |

It is time that we as a nation as well as individuals start walking the walk and not just talk the talk. We must stand besides our brothers and sisters. We must condem the murderous attacks that constantly besiege them. We must also condem those in our government who see nothing wrong in going half way around the world to fight terrorism yet asks Israel to use restrain doing the same. We must pray that G-d will give wisdom and courage to Arik and his cabinet. MAy G-d bless Israel.. - J. P. -0/4-/2002 |

We should absolutely stand with Israel. I fear our own security when our government vacillates between integrity in the "war on terrorism" and appeasement of dictatorships that won't allow us to bring bible into their country, who jerked us around in 1973, who support violence. - M. C. -0/4-/2002 |

Thank You Tom DeLay, We in the the U.S. ought to stand up & bravely tell the world, "Yes, you are wrong!" The present day world wide acts of antisemitism are the seeds for another holocaust. The holocaust, an entirely incomprehensible action done by MAN. If we can not look back and see it with any answeres of why; then at least be staunch in our position to never allow it to be launched again. - J. G. -0/4-/2002 |

I ENJOYED THE ARTICLE. ISRAEL NEEDS OUR SUPPORT AND PRAYERS. WE NEED TO STOP BEING HYPOCRITES ABOUT THIS THING. ISRAEL IS FACING THE SAME RUTHLESS KILLERS OUR COUNTRY FACED ON 9/11. GOD SAID I'LL BLESS THOSE THAT BLESS YOU[ISRAEL] AND I'LL CURSE THOSE THAT CURSE YOU [ISRAEL]. - M. B. -0/4-/2002 |

You are absolutely right and I greatly fear that Benjamin Netanyahu has actually spoken a serious prophesy about the future of America. Are we the people who dwell carelessly in the far off isles which the Bible speaks about??? We must boldly continue to pray for our president and leaders, for the peace of Israel (and God's protective hand upon us as well), as the entire world it would seem is coming against Israel - S. If only more of our leadership would show the same support for a yet young, democratic nation fighting, not just for defense purposes, but for it's very existance. How can we support fighting terrorists attacking our nation and not support Israel, or any other nation, under the very same attack? Israel has been more than patient with that murderous, treacherous, deceiver, Arafat. Why the United States continues to give any sort of creedence to a word he utters is beyond my comprehension. And the so call "deal" that Saudi Arabia is waving around now, doesn't anyone remember that it is almost verbatim the very same that two years ago, was offered by then Prime Minister Mubaruk? Suddenly, Saudi Arabia is being claimed the prince of peace. Come on people! Because many more are sure to die, pray that the spiritual veil will be removed from the eyes of the nation of Israel. - A. C. -0/4-/2002 |

Why don't we hear these words from the liberal, Deomocratic Party Senators who claim to be Jewish, or claim to represent the interests of American Jews.
From Sens. Feinstein, Boxer, Chumer, Lieberman, and Hillary, I hear nothing but a "moral equivalience" banter about "deploring violence on all sides" and supporting the aspirations of an oppressed people. Yes, Palestinians have been deceived and oppressed, mostly by other Arab nations Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Iraq and by Arafats Fatah thugs. - P. S. -0/4-/2002 |

Until this past weekend, I was proud to be an American, and proud to be a supporter of our President. What a great bunch of hypocrites we now look like after this US demand to pull out of terrorist-held towns in Israel. America has been waging war in civilian areas in Afghanistan for 6 months. Afghanistan; a country halfway around the world from us where we suspect terrorism against our citizens may have originated. And our President has the nerve to tell Israel not to do exactly the same--except the enemy is much closer, geographically, to it's victims, and there is a great deal more proof of terrorist activity. And here is a curious phenomenon: where has all the press coverage of the war the US is waging in Afghanistan gone? I haven't seen anything on the news about it for 2 weeks. One is unfortunately left to assume that the press is uncomfortable reporting these two extremely similar situations side-by-side because it makes the press look biased. The good news is, many Americans are becoming aware of just how biased the press is because of this situation. There is a great deal more support in America for Israel in this situation than the media would have us believe, so keep speaking out. -0/4-/2002 |

For years, I have sent letters to the news media -- in particular CBS -- for their pandering to Palestinians. The media just doesn't get it.
What does Arafat have to do before America get's the big picture -- hijack an airliner and smash it into the White House?
Our media and members of our goverment are naive and ignorant. They have no understanding of history, nor do they wish to burden themselves with learning it. For them, history is not "news."
They accepted, prima facie, every lie and distortion that came out of self-proclaimed, Middle Eastern "experts" whose only mission is to paint Palestinians murderers as "freedom fighters" and Israelis as "War criminals."
And our gullible media ate it up every time. Finally, our leadership says, "Stop calling them martyrs."
What took so long?
There can be no peace when there exists a group for whom terror is the only message they understand. - R. P. -0/4-/2002 |

I'm really confused!
It's my understanding that the Bush administration (including President Bush) are insisting that Israel pull out of all Palestinian "terrortories". ('Bush expects Israeli pullout "as soon as possible, without delay"' CNN). How is this an illustration of the US supporting Israel?
If we were truly supporting Israel, President Bush would be calling Arafat what he is: a terrorist! If the US claims that we don't negotiate with terrorists, then what is Secretary Powell doing by going to the Middle East? And why is U.S. envoy Anthony Zinni meeting Arafat, and then agreeing to form a committee of aides to explore ways of ending the crisis?
Politics be damned -- let the Arabs have their oil and their illegal immigrants too!
The US is either in full support of Israel or we aren't --- it IS black and white! and we better get off the fence before G-d determines that we are not in support of Israel! G-d help us then!!!!!
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!

With all due respect to President Bush if he is in earnest in wanting to eliminate terrorism in the world he must let Israel clear out the terrorists that are at Israels doorstep. Justice must be achieved and can only be achieved when Arafat and his terrorists can no longer continue murdering innocent people. Arafat is a known terrorist from years back. Our words are for President Bush to know that Arafats goal is to wipe out the State of Israel. Arafat and his terrorists must be stopped! - A. S. -0/4-/2002 |

I am heartened to see senators speak up for the land of Israel. I hope we hear more voices. I wait to hear the American jewish voices which have been utterly silent in my estimation since 9.11
Where is the outrage? Where is the compassion for our homeland? Why are jewish voices so silent at such a critical time? It eerily reminds me of the 30s and 40s. I hope after 60s Jewish people in the diaspora have more courage to stand up and be counted here in the USA. - M. G. -0/4-/2002 |

Tom Delay's message is as clear as daylight. Why the press does not put emphasis on President Bush's criticism of Arafat is beyond my understanding. May Israel live forever and may peace be upon Jerusalem. May her enemies stumble in the trap they set out for her everyday. -0/4-/2002 |

From their actions the Palestinian leadership has shown that peace is not what they have in mind, but war. They have made this quite clear by sacrificing their innocent children as suicide bombers so such actions must make it clear that the PA has no good intentions for Israel if they can not have them for their own innocent children. So what I am saying, is that Israel should execise the right to defend her people from those who speak peace with their lip and have war and destruction in their hearts. Isreal know that you have many brothers and sisters in the nations standing with at this critical time. I am from Uganda, East Africa and I know that there are many standing with you.
God Bless Isreal. - J. M. -0/4-/2002 |

I agree 200% with this article!!! I am so proud of President Bush' decision to stand with Israel. It is not only Biblical to stand with G-d's chosen people to be a blessed people ourselves......but it is the RIGHT thing to do!
Long before '911', I have wondered how we in America would feel, if the kind of terrorism that Israel has faced for generations, would occur on US soil. Now it has. And we are right to defend our families and our country from future attacks.........not to mention taking offensive action toward eradicating the threat of terrorism across the globe.
Israel has dealt with an ongoing death toll at the hands of terrorism for as long as I've known. And I'm 48. That's merely a drop in the bucket in comparison to what they have endured for generations......to be free.
May we as a freedom loving country, seeking God's blessings, always back Israel. You go President Bush! We are behind you with our love and prayers. - C. D. -0/4-/2002 |

Dear Mr. DeLay,
Thank you for your concise overview of the differences between Israel and it's neighboring countries. I find it amazing how such a small piece of land can be so coveted by a people group who encompass far more land than Israel could ever imagine having. Even more amazing is how Israel has willing given up it's own land in the attempt at peace with it's neighbors.
You, President Bush and those who are instrumental in making the hard decisions for our nation are in my prayers. -0/4-/2002 |

I am a Texan and personally not a fan of Tom DeLay's. This is a very powerful speech, however, and is truth. However, as a Rebublican and a representative of an oil state, what concessions to his position is he willing to make in the interests of Big Oil and a free market? He must know that while his position is a moral one and is a clear vision of the reality of the situation in the Middle East, "compromises" in the US position will probably be made. Is he willing to stand up to them even if it means that he will be comitting political suicide by causing an increase in oil prices that could cause our economic recovery to stumble? -0/4-/2002 |
