O, those golden images! I still watch Diane Sawyer, now a co-host on Good Morning America. A position she accepted after doing the unthinkabe - leaving 60 Minutes. The former Miss Teen America, and Kentucky home bred still shines - in spite of so much "bad" news. Syndicated columnist, Colin Campbell. The Newspaper Priest. - C. C. -0/5-/2001

Very interesting. If this is so, then our rabbis, our 'sheppards' so to speak, and we their flocks to be guided, should be bombarded with pictures of proud and happy jews in Israel, on the streets celebrating, in schools showing jewish pride, and on the beach, at bonfires, all other happy occaisions. We need aliyah now! And to learn from our rabbis in their speeches to their congrgations of the importance of aliyah, the active joining of one's destiney with 'Am Yisrael' and to remember, REMEMBER that the Galut, the diaspora, was and is a curse. America and the West, albeit is a comfortable curse, but a cusrse none the less. Come Home Jews! We, your brothers and sisters need you! (and I'd show you a picture of our beautiful neighborhood where I live in a yishuv near Jerusalem, but alas, there is not opportunity to place one here! - T. Y. -0/5-/2001

This is a very insiteful article. Why don't the Jewish communities through out the world use this principle to their advantage. There are thousands of Jewish individuals in the communication industry here in the US and all over the world.
I am sick of seeing Palestine youth throwing rocks on the news for years. They do conjure up sympathy toward them and distain for their foes. Where are the pictures which portray Isreali's in a positive way? I can't think of a better vehicle to improve the public image of Isreal than positive pictures or film footage.
